St. Louis Schools Cancel Football Amid Misconduct Probe

St. Louis Public Schools canceled the rest of the Clyde C. Miller Career Academy and Sumner High School co-op football season after reports of seriously inappropriate behavioral and physical conduct involving students. The district has notified St. Louis police and the state’s child and family services agency; police say they are in the early stages of investigating a complaint, and officials have not disclosed details of the alleged conduct. SLPS says it is working to support potentially affected students and families, address safety concerns, and guard against harassment or retaliation. The district also plans to hire an outside firm to review its response to the concerns.
