15,500 Run Columbus Marathon Supporting Children’s Hospital

More than 15,000 runners and walkers took part in the sold-out Nationwide Children’s Hospital Columbus Marathon and Half Marathon on Oct. 18, 2026, with photos capturing the start, course and finish. The 46th annual event ties its course to young patients: 24 miles honor children receiving care at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, alongside an inspirational mile and an alumni mile. The race has raised more than $15 million for the hospital since 2012, including over $1.4 million in 2025. Among the participants was Mike Ray, who returned to running after years of cancer treatment and set a personal goal of finishing; Brynn Fraser, a former patient, cheered runners as a mile champion in gratitude to the hospital.
