Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas retires after NLCS sweep
Miguel Rojas announced his retirement after the Dodgers were swept by the Milwaukee Brewers in the 2026 NLCS, ending a 13-year MLB career. The 37-year-old infielder played for Los Angeles and Miami, returned to the Dodgers in 2023, and was part of their 2024 and 2025 World Series-winning teams; he has expressed interest in staying with the organization in a coaching role. Catcher Chad Wallach also retired after 14 seasons in professional baseball, including parts of seven MLB seasons with Cincinnati, Miami and the Angels. His career highlight came in 2022, when he caught Reid Detmers’ no-hitter and homered in the same game; Wallach finished with a .198 batting average, 11 home runs and 39 RBIs in 156 major-league games.
