No. 4 2027 Guard GG Banks Commits to South Carolina

Five-star point guard Jezelle “GG” Banks, ranked No. 4 nationally in the 2027 class, has committed to Dawn Staley’s South Carolina Gamecocks. She chose South Carolina over SEC rivals LSU and Texas, citing the coaching staff, the personal fit and her ambition to compete for national championships. Banks is a standout passer and playmaker who has excelled in high school and on the Nike EYBL circuit, and she won gold with Team USA at the 2026 U18 Women’s AmeriCup. Her commitment, alongside fellow 2027 point guard Taylor Brown, strengthens a position South Carolina will need to replenish after recent departures.
