Booker Scores 11 in Suns’ Preseason Loss

The Phoenix Suns lost their second preseason game, falling 124-117 to Chicago after also letting a large halftime lead slip in a loss to Detroit. Devin Booker went 0-for-8 from three against the Bulls and is 1-for-12 from deep across two preseason games; he said he plans to review film and get more practice shots as he works to improve his efficiency. Booker has also urged younger and reserve players to treat preseason minutes seriously, emphasizing that reliable execution—including free-throw shooting—could determine who earns rotation roles. Coach Jordan Ott expects Booker to balance a more active scoring role with playmaking, while Oso Ighodaro has started both preseason games at center with Mark Williams injured, though the competition with rookie Khaman Maluach remains open.
