Georgia beats Vanderbilt 38-14 as Berlowitz starts

Vanderbilt freshman quarterback Jared Curtis was ruled out against No. 2 Georgia with an undisclosed injury after being listed as questionable and trying to get ready to play. Curtis, who had originally committed to Georgia before flipping to Vanderbilt, had started the Commodores’ previous games and had thrown for 746 yards and four touchdowns. Senior Blaze Berlowitz made his third start of the season in his place, completing 12 of 23 passes for 190 yards, one touchdown and one interception while leading the team with 37 rushing yards. Vanderbilt led with a strong first half but lost 38-14; Berlowitz had also volunteered to take receiver reps after losing the starting job earlier in the season.
