Knicks teammates roast each other in Brunson SNL monologue

Jalen Brunson hosted Saturday Night Live's 52nd season premiere on Saturday with musical guest Katseye and invited Knicks teammates Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby and Josh Hart onstage during his monologue. The Knicks beat the San Antonio Spurs in June for their first NBA title since 1973; Brunson was 2026 Finals MVP. Brunson told Towns he could not foul out of SNL; Towns answered, "So I could be here like the whole show? Nice!" Bridges joked of his wingspan, "Yet, I'll never fly." Anunoby asked about Brunson's missed Game 4 shot and the tip-in that followed; Brunson said Anunoby tipped it in, and Anunoby replied, "Oh yeah, that was awesome." Hart asked whether Brunson "took a $113 million pay cut just to re-sign with the Knicks"; Brunson confirmed, then showed Hart poking him at the celebration and missing a layup with 1:58 left in Game 4. Hart said the poke was "Because it was funny" and of the layup, "Aye, AI be looking so real." Kenan Thompson appeared as Stephen A. Smith. CONTESTED: none found. Only left-rated coverage exists.
