Salmon Recalled Across Six States Over Listeria Risk
Krasnyi Oktyabr Inc. is recalling Starfish Seafood Premium Cold Smoked Norwegian Salmon after routine testing by New York state officials found possible Listeria contamination. The frozen, 8-ounce packages were distributed in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia and Florida; no illnesses have been reported. Consumers should not eat the salmon and can return it to the place of purchase for a refund. Listeria can cause serious illness, particularly for young children, older adults, people with weakened immune systems and pregnant people.
