Rush postpones San Jose show over drummer illness
Rush postponed its October 17 concert at San Jose’s SAP Center after drummer Anika Nilles’s flu-like illness worsened following the band’s October 15 performance. Guitarist Alex Lifeson said Nilles was too ill to play and hopes to recover before the band returns for the rescheduled show on December 6, 2026. Previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date, and fans who cannot attend can seek refunds at their point of purchase. The concert was part of Rush’s first tour in 11 years, featuring Nilles in the lineup following the 2020 death of longtime drummer Neil Peart.
