Rocky Mount City Councilman Timothy “T.J.” Walker Jr. was arrested during North Carolina Central University’s homecoming weekend after campus police allegedly found him carrying a Glock on campus. He faces a felony charge of possessing a weapon on educational property and a misdemeanor charge of carrying a concealed weapon; his bond was set at $10,000. Walker, an NCCU graduate who represents Ward 4, is due in court, and the city says it will leave the matter to the judicial process.
