Property Tax Deadlines Near Across Counties

Several counties are approaching property-tax payment deadlines, with penalties or interest applying to late payments. In Craighead and Baxter counties, Arkansas, taxes are due Oct. 15; unpaid taxes face a 10% penalty beginning Oct. 16, and Craighead County officials advise taking mailed payments to the post office for a dated postmark or using county drop boxes. In Cabell County, West Virginia, delinquent real-estate taxes must be paid by Oct. 31 to avoid late fees, but Friday was the final day to pay by check; cash, money orders, certified bank checks, and certain in-person card payments remain options. Bloomfield Township, Michigan, lists Feb. 16, 2027, as the due date for winter taxes and the final date to pay summer taxes without penalty, with unpaid taxes transferred to the county treasurer on March 2.
