Princeton bus drivers reach tentative strike-ending deal
First Student and the union representing Princeton City Schools bus drivers reached a tentative agreement Tuesday, ending a nine-day strike that disrupted transportation for more than 5,000 students. The agreement’s terms have not been disclosed, and drivers were expected to vote Wednesday. The union has sought higher pay, route guarantees and better working conditions; First Student has said it made a strong pay offer. During the strike, the district arranged temporary transportation through other providers and offered Metro passes to older students, while families sought alternative ways to get children to school.
