OPPO, Manus Partner to Add Agentic AI Phones

OPPO and Manus are bringing Manus’ agentic AI capabilities to AI Mind Pilot’s new Agent Mode, set to debut on the upcoming Find X10 Series with ColorOS 17. Rather than simply answer questions, the assistant is designed to break down goals, find relevant information across a user’s phone and online sources, choose tools, and complete tasks. OPPO’s examples include assembling travel bookings into an itinerary, organizing photos, and creating presentations or proposals from a single prompt. OPPO says local file and photo tasks use on-device processing, while tasks requiring external processing prompt users for permission before content is shared. The system’s real-world performance remains to be seen, particularly when coordinating information across separate apps.
