Nursing Education, Care Stories Span Institutions
Across home care, university education and clinical research, the articles highlight the range of nursing work and the importance of skilled, compassionate patient care. Minneapolis agency All About Caring Home Care says its nurses provide in-home services including private duty nursing, ventilator and tracheostomy support, with care available around the clock and plans that can adjust to families’ needs. Profiles of nursing students and graduates describe how personal experiences and formal training led them to careers in patient care, public health, infectious-disease research and pediatric dialysis. Pace University’s Lienhard School of Nursing, marking its 60th anniversary, has educated more than 12,800 nursing graduates, while its current students pursue clinical, research, leadership and advocacy work. Together, the stories underscore nursing’s varied career paths and the role of education, continued learning and empathy in supporting patients and families.
