Netlist's complaint to the US International Trade Commission became publicly accessible on September 29, 2026, after being filed under seal on September 25. The company seeks an import ban on Micron DRAM devices and on GPUs, servers and other products from Google, Nvidia and Broadcom that incorporate the disputed technology. The complaint alleges infringement of two Netlist patents related to high bandwidth memory. Netlist CEO C.K. Hong issued a statement addressing the new filing. Netlist alleges infringement of two HBM patents. Micron, Google, Nvidia and Broadcom did not immediately comment on the complaint as of September 29, 2026. In 2024, a federal jury in Marshall, Texas awarded Netlist $445 million against Micron for patent infringement. In August 2026, Netlist filed a separate ITC complaint against Micron over chips used in products from Super Micro Computer, Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Lenovo, and settled its patent dispute with Samsung after winning verdicts totaling $421 million against Samsung in the same Texas court.
