Mueon raises $65 million for AI data-center hardware
Mueon, a Portland-area data center hardware startup founded by former Intel engineers, raised $65 million in a Series A led by Maverick Silicon, bringing its total funding to more than $80 million. The company is developing Cubelets, modular three-dimensional systems that bring computing, memory, interconnects, power delivery and cooling closer together than in conventional server designs. Mueon says the architecture could deliver up to 10 times the power and cost efficiency of current hardware, though that figure is a company claim. The funding will support expanded engineering and operations teams and deeper customer engagement as Mueon works to address data centers’ growing power and space demands.
