Masters Keeps Invites Open for Winners of Six National Opens

Augusta National and the R&A will continue a qualification arrangement for the 2027 Masters and The Open, awarding Masters invitations to the winners of six national opens: the Scottish, Spanish, Japanese, Hong Kong, Australian and South African opens. The policy is designed to expand international pathways into the Masters, while the R&A’s broader Open Qualifying Series includes 15 tournaments across 12 national opens. Tom Kim, the Scottish Open winner, already holds a Masters exemption, and the South African Open is the only one of the six scheduled for next spring; the others will take place in the fall.
