Marchand injured in Panthers' 2-1 win over Kings
The Florida Panthers beat the Los Angeles Kings 2-1 Tuesday, but forward Brad Marchand left in the second period with a left leg injury. With 52.6 seconds left in the period, Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke high-sticked Marchand, who then twisted into the goalpost; Marchand was unable to put weight on his leg and was helped off the ice. Clarke received a four-minute double-minor penalty. Marchand had returned Sunday after offseason surgery and scored in his season debut, a 3-2 overtime loss to Anaheim. Matthew Tkachuk scored the winning goal for Florida in the third period.
