Local Officials Gather, Plan Public Meetings Across States
Sen. Roger Marshall is making public appearances in Kansas as he seeks momentum in his reelection campaign, including a Topeka legislative breakfast hosted by the Greater Topeka Chamber of Commerce. His campaign comes amid a competitive race against pastor Adam Hamilton, and Marshall has faced contentious public encounters while rarely holding scheduled appearances, citing security concerns. Marshall also hosted a Kansas Faith and Values luncheon that Sedgwick County commissioners were scheduled to attend. The Topeka appearance was planned three days before President Trump’s rally for Marshall in Wichita; the rally location had not been announced.
