The Coast Guard suspended its search Tuesday evening for 27-year-old Samantha Youngs. The search covered 484 square miles over more than 11 hours. Youngs was reported missing with her kayak near La Jolla's Torrey Pines Gliderport. Her car was found in the cliffside parking lot. Coast Guard crews, San Diego police and lifeguards searched the waters near Torrey Pines and La Jolla. After that effort, authorities concluded that all reasonable search efforts had been exhausted. Youngs remains missing. Authorities asked anyone with information about her disappearance to contact the Coast Guard or San Diego police. The suspension ends the multi-agency water search conducted near Torrey Pines and La Jolla following the report that she was missing with her kayak and the finding of her car in the cliffside parking lot.
