Kentucky creates new role, taps Moorer to manage athletes across sports
The University of Kentucky has hired Mitchell Moorer as its Executive Associate Athletics Director for Player Management, a newly created role overseeing strategy across all sports. He will lead work on student-athlete management, roster development, revenue sharing and name, image and likeness opportunities, while helping ensure compliance with relevant rules. Athletics Director J Batt said Moorer’s experience in college and professional sports, athlete representation and law will support Kentucky’s efforts to build teams and manage resources in a changing college athletics landscape. Moorer most recently held a student-athlete management and administration leadership role at Michigan State.
