Kansas GOP nominee alleges Democrat practices witchcraft

Republican Kansas gubernatorial candidate Ty Masterson accused Democratic rival Cindy Holscher of using “demonic” witchcraft to win, describing the race as a spiritual battle during a speech at a Wichita church. His allegation appeared to refer to playful TikTok videos by Holscher’s 20-year-old daughter, Maddie, who joked about casting a spell for her mother’s victory. Holscher has described the videos as goofy and meaningful to her, while Maddie responded to the accusations with a tongue-in-cheek post featuring a childhood Halloween photo of her and her siblings dressed as witches.
