Jets beat Avalanche 3-2, end unbeaten start
Kyle Connor scored twice, including the game-winning goal with one minute remaining, as Winnipeg beat Colorado 3-2 and handed the Avalanche their first loss of the season. Mark Scheifele assisted on Connor’s late winner and Cole Perfetti’s second-period goal, while Jaden Schwartz and Fedor Svechkov scored for Colorado. Stuart Skinner made 32 saves as the Jets improved to 3-0-1 and extended their season-opening point streak to four games. Winnipeg defenseman Josh Morrissey left with an upper-body injury after crashing into the boards in the first period. The win came after Colorado had scored 14 goals in its first two games, but the Jets limited its offense and prevailed on Connor’s late finish.
