Iowa QB Hank Brown questionable against Washington
Iowa quarterback Hank Brown is questionable for Friday’s game at Washington after spraining the AC joint in his throwing shoulder against Ohio State. Coach Kirk Ferentz said Brown may be medically cleared, but his limited practice work makes it uncertain whether starting would be safe or best for the team. Jeremy Hecklinski is taking the starting reps, with Jimmy Sullivan next in line; Hecklinski stepped in against Ohio State and completed all five of his passes on a touchdown drive. Ferentz said Iowa will be prepared to start Hecklinski if Brown is unable to play.
