DataMeds says Helomics ChemoFx test gains Humana Medicaid coverage

DataMeds AI said its Helomics subsidiary received a Humana Medicaid coverage determination for ChemoFx, a test that measures how live tumor cells respond to chemotherapy drugs to help inform treatment decisions for gynecologic cancers. Effective July 22, 2026, coverage may apply to eligible members in specified circumstances, including recurrent or treatment-resistant disease, but does not extend to all Humana plans and remains subject to policy criteria. DataMeds says Helomics’ laboratory automation can support additional testing volume and that it plans to evaluate the assay in other difficult-to-treat cancers and publish further data.
