Blair’s Rep Calls MS Claims Outrageous After Arrest
Selma Blair, 54, was charged with two counts of second-degree assault after an incident on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York on Oct. 11, 2026. She pleaded not guilty on Oct. 12 and was released on $20,000 bond. She is accused of injuring two flight attendants and of kicking a police officer and a nurse after hospital transport. Her attorney told the judge she had missed several doses of medication for severe neurological symptoms. Blair's representative said she experienced a medical emergency, there was no attempt to open the aircraft door, and she did not intend to harm anyone. The representative called suggestions that she does not have multiple sclerosis outrageous, citing her public 2018 diagnosis, daily pain, and pseudobulbar affect secondary to MS. The representative asked the public to consider the full facts before judging. Reports that she bit cabin crew and tried to open a door are disputed by the representative; the case remains unresolved.
