Haliburton Sits Out Pacers-Hawks Preseason Game

Tyrese Haliburton will miss the Indiana Pacers’ preseason game against the Atlanta Hawks after sustaining a mild right ankle tweak in the team’s opener against Minnesota. Coach Rick Carlisle said an MRI looked reassuring, Haliburton’s surgically repaired Achilles is in good condition, and the guard has practiced on a limited basis. The Pacers hope he can return to practice Monday and play Tuesday against Oklahoma City; if he is not ready, they expect to prepare him for Friday’s game against Milwaukee.
