Green GSM Launches Electric Taxis in US, Philippines

Vietnamese mobility company Green SM has launched an all-electric taxi and ride-hailing service in Los Angeles, its first North American operation and ninth global market. The service uses VinFast VF 8 vehicles, with rides available through the company’s app or by phone; launch promotions offer new customers discounted trips. The move adds a U.S. passenger service to the company’s international expansion and follows plans to grow its fleet in additional markets. Green SM is linked to VinFast founder Pham Nhat Vuong and has said it intends to buy up to one million VinFast electric vehicles between 2026 and 2030.
