Four Communities Upgrade Local Sports Facilities
Several communities are investing in recreation facilities, with projects ranging from completed renovations to new construction. In Polson, Montana, Mission Valley Aquatics Center has completed its first major renovation in more than 13 years, adding a non-slip pool deck and upgraded filtration to support swimming programs and water safety. West Babylon Junior High has completed improvements to its tennis, basketball and handball courts, including drainage work. In Campbelltown, Australia, a $2.8 million upgrade at Eschol Park Sporting Complex is underway, adding accessible amenities, changerooms, spectator seating, storage and landscaping, with completion expected by early 2027. McAllen, Texas, is converting a kickball field at Los Encinos Park into a soccer space, with the project expected to cost at least $350,000.
