Firms announce class-action deadlines for HDFC, Doximity, AppLovin
HDFC Bank is facing a securities class action alleging that the bank and executives misled investors by disguising payments as marketing expenses to offer a state-owned company above-market interest rates and attract its deposits. The complaint alleges senior management approved the arrangement, which may have violated regulations and company policies, and that it inflated reported interest income and operating expenses. The allegations followed reports that HDFC paid about 45 crore rupees to the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation, describing the funds as support for a road-safety initiative while offering it a higher deposit rate. Investors who acquired HDFC securities from July 17, 2023, through May 26, 2026, may be eligible to participate; notices cite October 12 or October 13, 2026, as the lead-plaintiff deadline.
