Taylor Swift Makes Academy Museum Gala Debut
Taylor Swift made her Academy Museum Gala debut in Los Angeles on Oct. 17, 2026, arriving in a strapless Dior gown with crystal-embellished bodice and bow and posing without Travis Kelce. She was scheduled to close the sixth annual gala after it honored Charlize Theron with the Icon Award, Colman Domingo with the Vantage Award and John Carpenter. Amy Homma said Taylor is an extraordinary talent whose work resonates around the world and that the museum was thrilled to welcome her performance closing an evening supporting its mission to celebrate and preserve cinema. Swift wore Chopard platinum earrings with 32.40 carats of diamonds, a 5.78-carat diamond ring and a 5.04-carat diamond bracelet. Kelce was preparing for the Chiefs vs. Chargers game at Arrowhead Stadium. The gala was chaired by Steven Spielberg, Kate Capshaw, Robert Rodriguez and Tom Ford. Contested: AOL called the gown baby blue; other reports used pale-blue or icy blue for the same Dior look. Swift styled a recent shoulder-length haircut half-up with curls. She wore bespoke Christian Dior Haute Couture by Jonathan Anderson at her July 3 wedding to Kelce at Madison Square Garden and had performed a three-song set Aug. 18 at the Clive Davis Theater for a Grammy Museum retrospective.
