Soap Star Robert Kelker-Kelly Dies at 62

Robert Kelker-Kelly, who played Bo Brady on Days of Our Lives from 1992 to 1995, died October 3 at age 62 in Missouri. He complained of chest pain and became unresponsive at his home; officers and paramedics tried life-saving measures and failed. The cause of death has not been officially announced. He took over Bo from Peter Reckell for nearly 600 episodes before Reckell returned in 1995, later played Stavros Cassadine on General Hospital for over 40 episodes, and logged nearly 500 episodes on Another World. He won Soap Opera Digest Outstanding Lead Actor in 1994 and worked as a professional pilot from 2003 to 2015. In her February 2026 memoir, Lisa Rinna wrote that behind the scenes they hated each other and that he made her life a living hell on the Days set, describing verbal abuse, silent treatment during love scenes, manipulation, and an unpredictable dark side. She said that after he suddenly left, NBC gave her and Kristian Alfonso security for three weeks though she was not worried about physical harm. The record states he did not publicly respond to the allegations, and available information does not include a public comment from Rinna on his death.
