Edwardsville Boys, Girls Both Finish Sixth at State

Edwardsville’s girls and boys golf teams each finished sixth at their respective Illinois state tournaments, marking notable seasons for both programs. The girls posted a two-round 639 for their best state finish in 20 years, while Ally Suhre placed second individually with a five-under-par 139. The boys ended at 604 after slipping from second place following a difficult second round; Brian Cooper led their final-round scoring with a three-under 69. The boys’ sixth-place finish was their best since 2016 and their second-lowest state-tournament score in program history.
