Ducks Hold Off Golden Knights Late Rally to Win 4-3
The Anaheim Ducks beat the Vegas Golden Knights 4-3 on Friday, Oct. 3, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas before 17,619 fans. Anaheim led 4-0 entering the third period on goals by Beckett Sennecke, Alex Killorn, Jeff Malott and Leo Carlsson. Sennecke scored on a breakaway with 8 seconds left in the first, assisted by Carlsson. Killorn scored on a deflection at 1:33 of the second, Malott 55 seconds later, and Carlsson at 7:03 on a rebound. Carlsson had a goal and an assist in his first game since signing a five-year, $90 million. Shea Theodore scored with 15:22 left in the third, assisted by Brett Howden and Jack Eichel. Vegas’s offside challenge failed and Anaheim was penalized for delay of game. Tomas Hertl scored on the power play soon after, and Braeden Bowman made it 4-3 with 2:50 left. Lukas Dostal’s late stops preserved the win. Eichel had two assists and five points in two games. Coach Ryan Craig said he liked the response but it took a while, and execution seemed off. Captain Mark Stone said Vegas did not make it hard enough for Anaheim’s high-end players and that a four-goal deficit is a tall task. Vegas next visits Vancouver on Sunday.
