Diddy’s Prison Release Date Reportedly Delayed
Bureau of Prisons records cited by several outlets show Sean "Diddy" Combs' projected release date moved from Jan. 21, 2028 to March 2, 2028. Extra TV listed March 8 instead. Combs is serving a 50-month sentence at FCI Fort Dix after two Mann Act convictions and was acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking. Reports say he remains in solitary confinement after NBC News published footage appearing to show him using a banned phone and described inmate accounts of paid massages, cooked meals, a jailbroken tablet, smuggled liquor and other assistance. The Bureau of Prisons said it does not comment on confinement conditions or reasons for a release-date change. Combs representative Juda S Engelmayer said the rumors cannot be independently verified, that media scrutiny has cast ordinary prison life as news, and that Combs continues to serve his sentence within the rules while awaiting his appeal. An unnamed source told NBC, "Money is power, especially behind bars." Separately, a judge ordered Combs to pay $477,700.50 after dismissing his $100 million lawsuit against NBCUniversal, and Sher Tremonte sought to withdraw citing unpaid bills. Officials have not publicly explained the date adjustment.
