DePaul Extends Holtmann Contract After 16-16 Rebuilding Season
DePaul has extended men’s basketball coach Chris Holtmann’s contract through the 2030-31 season, signaling the school’s confidence in his rebuilding effort. Hired in 2024 after the Blue Demons went 3-29, Holtmann led them to a 16-16 record and an 8-12 Big East mark last season, their best conference finish since joining the league in 2005. Athletic director DeWayne Peevy cited Holtmann’s leadership and the program’s progress, while Holtmann said he and DePaul share a vision for continued growth.
