Communities Secure Energy, Housing, Revitalization Funding
Community energy initiatives are directing funding toward electrification, clean-energy infrastructure and lower costs for residents and local institutions. Central Coast Community Energy’s 2026–27 programs offer eligible customers rebates and assistance for electric vehicles, chargers and home, business and agricultural upgrades. In Indiana, the first recipients of a $10 million energy-impact program will receive rooftop solar installations, while a separate $3 million commitment will help address property repairs that can prevent low-income households and facilities from qualifying for energy retrofits. Portland has selected five affordable-housing developments expected to add 327 homes for grants supporting measures such as rooftop solar, efficient heating and cooling, and insulation, intended to reduce utility costs and improve comfort.
