College Cross-Country Teams Set for Invitational Meets

UConn finished 16th in the women’s race at the Pre-National Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana, where the Huskies’ top finisher clocked 20:23.4. Coach Beth Alford-Sullivan said the team responded well despite a difficult meet and one runner battling a cold. The invitational was also the final regular-season race for Ole Miss, which entered after placing eighth at the Gans Creek Classic; the Rebels are set to compete next at the SEC Championships on Oct. 30. UConn will return to competition at the BIG EAST Championships on Oct. 30, after placing fourth at last year’s meet.
