Hillary Clinton awards leaders advancing women’s economic opportunity and rights
At Georgetown University’s 2026 Hillary Rodham Clinton Awards, Hillary Clinton honored leaders whose work advances women’s economic opportunity, rights, peace and security. Recipients included Muhammad Yunus, recognized for Grameen Bank’s microcredit work and contributions to women’s financial independence, and Reema Nanavaty, whose leadership at India’s Self-Employed Women’s Association supports women’s livelihoods, food security and access to renewable energy. Fashion designer and foundation founder Tory Burch also received an award, while Jordan’s Microfund for Women chair Muna Sukhtian received the inaugural Georgetown Ambassadors Award. Separately, UAE Minister of State Noura Al Kaabi joined Clinton at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in New York to discuss women’s global leadership, cross-cultural cooperation and the need to build public trust in an increasingly digital world.
