Clark’s Nike Signature Shoe Arrives Oct. 1

Caitlin Clark's Nike Caitlin 1 signature shoe launches in the U.S. on Oct. 1 for $140, after a Sept. 24 release in China, in Caitlin Blue and Warning Code Yellow. The release makes her the fifth active player with a signature basketball shoe, joining Nike's Sabrina Ionescu and A'ja Wilson. Angel Reese has a Reebok deal and Breanna Stewart one with Puma. Sheryl Swoopes was first in 1995; Elena Delle Donne and Stewart launched in 2022, the first since Candace Parker in 2011. Clark told The Associated Press in Germany she is super excited, saying few people get a Nike signature shoe, that she never dreamed of it as a kid, and that she put real time into the design so fans feel connected and can play like she does. She hopes the shoe gives people confidence to dream. The upper uses Nike Opticast nodes in a pattern inspired by a three-point shot's ripple. Clark gifted pairs to Indiana Fever teammates after Team USA's gold medal run, shared an all-black colorway on Sept. 16, and previewed an Iowa Hawkeyes-inspired design last month.
