Chicago Fire Plans Two Major Cast Exits in Season 15
Chicago Fire’s 15th season brings significant changes both on screen and behind the scenes: Dermot Mulroney’s Chief Dom Pascal is written out in the premiere, Joe Miñoso’s longtime character Joe Cruz departs after several episodes, and showrunner Andrea Newman is leaving after years with the series. Actor Brandon Larracuente said Miñoso’s exit will leave a void at Firehouse 51, while praising the writers for giving Cruz a thoughtful sendoff. Pascal’s departure depends on the outcome of the previous season’s cliffhanger, which left much of the firehouse in danger. The season also has to resolve whether the trapped firefighters survive, with Larracuente voicing particular concern for veteran characters.
