Lucid Q3 Deliveries Top Production as Output Falls to Cut Inventory

Lucid delivered 3,806 vehicles in the third quarter of 2026 and produced 2,954, according to figures released October 5. Deliveries were down 6.7% year over year and down from 3,953 in the second quarter, while production fell from 4,774 in Q2. Deliveries exceeded production by 852 vehicles as Lucid reduced unsold inventory. The pullback followed Lucid cutting the Casa Grande plant from two shifts to one and laying off 18% of staff in June. CEO Silvio Napoli is leading an operating reset. Lucid withdrew its full-year production target. The company reiterated a goal of $1.4 billion in cash-flow improvements for 2026, with $600 million to $800 million from inventory reduction, $500 million from lower capital expenditures, and $200 million from operating expenses. Through the first nine months, deliveries were up 3.4% and production up 33% from the same period in 2025. Lucid is scheduled to report full third-quarter results and hold an earnings call on November 9.
