Tebow Pauses Life Surge Relationship Amid Allegations
Tim Tebow says he is pausing his relationship with Life Surge while his team investigates allegations that the Christian events company uses high-pressure sales tactics to sell expensive investment and real-estate courses. An investigation by Pablo Torre and Mother Jones reports that attendees are drawn in with low-cost events and $97 classes before being offered SurgeU packages costing roughly $10,000 to $40,000; some customers say they were steered toward credit cards or home-equity borrowing. Consumer complaints describe financial losses and pressure to enroll, while Life Surge denies using faith or coercion to push purchases and says enrollment is voluntary and financing comes from third parties. Tebow reportedly appeared at more than 20 events in 2026 and received $50,000 to $100,000 per appearance. Torre says he sought comment from 14 sports figures paid to speak or promote the organization, and none had issued a statement at the time of the report.
