Bitcoin ETFs Gain $159M; Ethereum ETFs Lose $39M

U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs returned to net inflows of about $159 million on September 17 after a one-day pause, while spot Ethereum ETFs posted a third straight day of outflows at roughly $39 million. An inflow means investors put more money into the funds than they took out; an outflow means the reverse. Over the three sessions, Ethereum ETF withdrawals totaled about $405 million. Bitcoin gains that day clustered mainly in one large fund, and demand ran stronger for Bitcoin exposure than for Ethereum products. Bitcoin rose more than 1 percent to about $77,216. Zcash climbed 10 percent as its U.S. fund drew nearly $47 million, pushing monthly inflows above $230 million, while XRP funds lost about $5 million. Equities and bonds both rallied as oil prices fell, one day after the Federal Reserve raised interest rates. Falling oil eased inflation concerns linked to that decision, and major cryptocurrencies advanced with the stock market. No contested claims found.
