An expert WhatsApp group of over 500 engineers is coordinating Nepal’s rescue operations in the Trishuli Valley, rapidly sharing hydropower plant blueprints, tunnel diagrams, and real-time layouts to guide rescuers through buried tunnels after the August 26 flood. The disaster left more than 1,200 dead and about 4,000 missing, with 2.2 million tonnes of debris reconfiguring the terrain and complicating search efforts at six hydropower facilities.
