Packers lose Reed and Bako-Bewele to injuries on opening drive
Jayden Reed
— Sep 20, 2026
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed was carted off with a scary injury on the Jets game’s second play, with initial indications of a neck injury and him being placed on a backboard before leaving the field. The situation comes after Reed’s injury-plagued 2025 season, and despite that history, he signed a three-year, roughly $50 million extension that keeps him in Green Bay through 2029 as the team views him as a key offensive piece alongside Christian Watson and Matthew Golden.
