x/gross-domestic-product
— Sep 7, 2026
Eurostat revises euro-zone Q2 GDP to 0.6% q/q and 1.2% y/y, led by a 10.2% surge in Ireland and improved momentum in Germany, even as underlying demand remains weak. Employment across the euro area rose about 0.5% y/y and 0.4% in the EU in Q2, with Malta and Portugal posting the strongest gains and Romania lagging ahead of the ECB’s rate decision.
