Ghana Standards Authority reported an 18% revenue rise to over GH¢228 million in 2025, with expanded testing, calibration and verification activities and a fivefold increase in surplus to its accumulated fund, though only 40% of its 426 standards were developed. Separately, the Ghana Revenue Authority aims to double its revenue by 2028 and has set a 2026 target of about GH¢225 billion after collecting roughly GH¢182 billion in the prior year, highlighting a drive for broader base and digitisation to boost compliance and growth.

Roman Space Telescope Coronagraph Instrument powers on

NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has powered up its Coronagraph Instrument and begun a months-long calibration phase to enable direct imaging of exoplanets and circumstellar disks, using ultra-sensitive ABB and Nüvü Camēras camera electronics. The observatory, launched on a SpaceX Falcon Heavy with the coronagraph camera now in orbit, is designed to vastly surpass current exoplanet imaging capabilities and to lay groundwork for future Habitable Worlds Observatory.
