Across the plain, Nicki Coertze spotted a pink albino baby elephant walking next to her protective mother. Even though they couldn't get as close as they would've liked, it was still an incredible sight to see, Nicki explained to the Daily Mail UK.
"We took pictures of the elephant through the car window, I was trying to keep super still in spite of the excitement of the others in the car."
The safari guides were shocked and the guests were thrilled see something so special!
The group watched as the herd marched across the desolate landscape, toward a nearby river. They hoped to see the baby elephant wash herself completely and show all of her "pinkness," but they had no such luck!
She casually dipped her feet into the water and stood close to her mother, who also waded in the shallows.
As soon as he returned home, Nicki noticed that out of all of the pictures he took, none of them showed the baby with its eyes open!
This is because albino elephants are known to have terrible eyesight and many end up going completely blind - this elephant's eyes are particularly sensitive to sunlight and will probably never open all the way.
