Mom Has A Brilliant Way Of Keeping The Kitchen Organized. I Have To Do This!

Life is hard enough. Eating healthy is hard, too. Why put extra stress on yourself by doing it all on the fly? These night-before tips will keep your family well-fed and your kitchen stress-free.
Put Away Dinner's Dishes
Few things make mornings more chaotic than trying to work around dirty dishes. Clean and put away the dishes the night before so you don't have to clean in the morning. Besides, who wants to clean crusted-on marinara sauce before using the same pan for their eggs?
There are a ton of on-the-go breakfast ideas on platforms like Pinterest, including the ever-popular overnight oats, mini quiches and muffins.
Have The Kids Help With Lunch
How do you know what your kids want to eat for lunch? Let them tell you! Stack your pantry with healthy options and let them do the work. This will ensure they eat healthy, and most importantly, it will ensure they actually eat their lunch at school.
Pack Your Bags
Pack the kids' school bags before they're running late! Homework should be done and inside the bag before it's time to go, then placed by the front door. That way they can just grab their bag and go after breakfast. It's one less thing to worry about when you're already running late.
Prep Tomorrow's Dinner
Don't worry! You don't need to cook two meals at night. If you're a slow cooking fan, prep all of your ingredients in the slowcooker and put it on low in the morning. You'll come home to a fresh-made meal with minimal effort. A quick Google of "dump meals" will bring up several delicious, healthy recipes for the slowcooker.
Put All Lunches In The Front Of The Fridge
The last thing you want to do when you're running late is dig in the fridge for your lunch. Make sure they're easy to access in the morning for you and the kids.
Set A Meal Prep Schedule
Does your older child get home from school before you get home from work? Have them start dinner! Have the hard work prepped so all they have to do is heat up the meal and set the table.
Defrost Frozen Food
If you're going to be using that frozen chicken tomorrow night, don't bother with the "defrost" setting on the microwave. Setting it in the fridge tonight will ensure it defrosts safely and it will be the perfect temperature for when you use it the next night.
Chop And Mix What You Can
If you can chop the veggies for tomorrow's egg scramble or mix the ingredients for the pancakes, do it now so you can just sit and enjoy those extra 20 minutes drinking your coffee in the morning.
Set Out The Tools You Need
If you need a griddle or blender in the morning, set them out in the morning to save those precious seconds when you're in a rush. You'll be less tempted to grab a snack at the drive through if you already have a plan.
Spare yourself from the stress! Prepare tonight to have a great day tomorrow, and a healthy one, too!
